Since the 2000 General Election, greater demands have been placed on the responsiveness and quality of services provided by the Administration. In this new environment, the Clerk can be expected to devote more time to strategic management of the Administration, including macro-level issues, such as:
- Quality control of service delivery;
- Continuous monitoring of the implementation of the Annual Corporate Plan, which sets clear performance objectives and indicators for each directorate and unit; and
- Further capacity building and career development of staff with particular focus on leadership and management skills.
