My government will respect the Constitution, Rule of Law, Tolerance to divergent views and in that regard my government will ensure that the 2018 plebiscite are credible, free and fair.
Every case of individual corruption should be investigated and the culprits should be brought to book in terms of the law and be punished, there are no sacred cows.
Corruption retards national growth, a new Zimbabwe must be built based on the following values, honesty, accountability, transparency and hardwork.
Tripartite negotiation forum should be revived to come up with the social contract.
Strict adherence to business and building by-laws will be maintained by the local authorities. The haphazard resettlement of people by whoever, must stop forth with.
The albatross around the government for example parastatals will be removed, with thet reforms being unveiled in the First Quarter of 2018.
Government is working on ambitious water harvesting activity to boost agriculture, boreholes are to be drilled in dry areas and the de-siltation of dams.
Government recognises the need for an all out export strategy, the tourism industry continues in an upward trend through attractive flora and fauna and peace and tranquility in the country.
He urged the local businesses to desist from wanton price hikes which indirectly promotes the importation of cheap imports.
Government will continue to protect the local industry so as to stimulate growth in that sector, while balancing the Regional and International Protocols.
Statutory Instrument 64 has helped local industry by giving them space to retooling and manufacturing.
Government will eliminate the porousness of our borders.
His Excellency congratulated the small scale gold miners for their production.
The steady growth in mining is powered by improvements in the quantities of gold, coal and platinum.
Kariba South Extension will come onto the grid before the end of 2017 to provide 150MW. An additional 150MW will also come onto the grid before mid 2018.
Energy, Transport, Information Communication and Technology has been prioritised for implementation by the government in the next 100 days.
Government is carrying out a comprehensive review of investment policy to ensure that there is a new flow of Foreign Direct Investment.
Government is determined to remove policy inconsistency of the past. The one stop shop will now proceed with new impetus.
State owned enterprises must abide by good acceptable corporate governance, where honesty and accountability, discipline and service to the people will be key in their way of doing business.
100 day cycles have been set as targets for the turn around of all Ministries, so that government delivers services fairly equitably without any bias.
Measures will be put in place to reduce country risk and budget deficit. New interest has been rekindled in our nation. Growing of economy is government’s top priority.
The situation in the country has returned to normalcy, he however called the Nation to remain vigilant. Government is very conscious of the problems facing the economy.
First and foremost, His Excellency, the President, Cde. E. D. Mnangagwa commended the Defence Forces for their exemplary behaviour and clarity of purpose through Operation Restore Legacy Operation, in line with their Constitutional mandate as enshrined in Section 212 of the Constitution.
