2. The President of the Senate informed the Senate of the death of Senator for Bindura –
Shamva Constituency, Honourable Misheck Chando on Friday 23rd October 2009 and
invited Honourable Senators to rise and observe a minute of silence in respect of the late
Senator.
3. The President of the Senate also informed Hon Senators that the Minister of Economic
Planning and Investment Promotion was inviting Hon. Senators to a half day stakeholders
participation workshop on the formulation of a Medium Term Plan (MTP) to be held on
Monday, 16 November, 2009 from 0830 hours to 1300 hours at the Harare International
Conference (HICC).
4. Adjourned debate on motion in reply to the Presidential Speech (adjourned 21st October
2009 –The Governor for Matebeleland North Province)
